Tustin, California
Tustin pairs a walkable, historic Old Town — one of Orange County's best dining districts — with the modern shops and homes of Tustin Legacy, all in the geographic center of the county.
History
Columbus Tustin founded the town in 1868, and it incorporated in 1927 amid orange and walnut groves. The Marine Corps Air Station brought two colossal WWII blimp hangars — among the largest wooden structures on earth — and the base's redevelopment as Tustin Legacy is reshaping the city today.
Things to do
Dine your way through Old Town Tustin, shop The District at Tustin Legacy, celebrate Tustin Tiller Days each fall, and hike the loop at Peters Canyon Regional Park.
