Fountain Valley, California
Fountain Valley calls itself 'A Nice Place to Live' — a stable, centrally located residential city with award-winning parks and quick access to Huntington Beach's coastline.
History
Named for the artesian wells that once bubbled up through its low-lying farmland, Fountain Valley incorporated in 1957 and developed through the 1960s as one of Orange County's first fully master-planned suburban communities.
Things to do
Spend the day at Mile Square Regional Park — 600+ acres of lakes, golf, and picnic groves — play at the Fountain Valley Sports Park, or bike the Santa Ana River Trail straight to the beach.
