History
In the early 20th century, Crystal Cove became a popular destination for campers, artists, and movie makers. The Irvine Company leased parts of the land where visitors built unique cottages along the beachfront. Today, the 3,936 acre Crystal Cove State Park preserves its natural and cultural resources.
