Anaheim, California
Anaheim is Orange County's largest city and its entertainment capital, home to Disneyland Resort, major league sports, and a remarkable variety of neighborhoods from historic districts to hillside communities.
History
Anaheim was founded in 1857 by German immigrants who established a grape-growing colony along the Santa Ana River — the name combines 'Ana' from the river with 'heim,' German for home. The city transformed forever when Walt Disney opened Disneyland in 1955, and it has grown into a world-class destination while preserving its historic Anaheim Colony District.
Things to do
Spend a day at Disneyland Resort, catch the Angels at Angel Stadium or the Ducks at Honda Center, and explore the food halls of the Anaheim Packing District.
